Freelance Studio Assistant Role (part time / casual work)

Hello Marilu is looking for an enthusiastic Studio Assistant to help us during our busiest time of year in the run up to Christmas.  Working from our home studio in Brockley SE4.

Duties will include a range of tasks, from packing orders (beautifully!), booking deliveries, ordering supplies, and adding information to our website.  This is not a design role, however it may include some minor creative tasks depending on experience, such as basic painting of objects (block colours, not illustrations) so someone comfortable in doing this would be ideal. The role may evolve to include some marketing and event activities.


The role may suit someone with a creative interest, but this isn't a necessity.  However we do require someone who takes great care in their work, and pays close attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will be friendly and enthusiastic, and happy to get involved in all tasks big or small.

This is a freelance ad hoc role to help with our busiest time of year from October to mid-December.  We may need you to work one day a week or a few times a week, depending on our schedule, but we would agree this in advance on a weekly basis to suit both parties.  Ideally the role will suit someone with a degree of flexibility with their time such as a student or part time worker.  It may also suit someone locally based to the SE4 area.

Please note this is a freelance role.  We will pay an hourly rate, but you will be required to invoice us and complete your own taxes.  As a freelance role, you will only be paid for hours worked, sick pay or holiday pay is not included.
